3. They are able to leverage other people's money (OPM) and their own investments by selective partnering with government and industry customers.

This is accomplished by sharing their years of industry knowledge and processes including the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) process, the Other Transaction Authority (OTA) process, and Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA).

For additive manufacturing, SI2 maintains a current suite of Multifunctional 3D Printers including: Fused Deposition Modeling, Pastes, Clays, and Adhesives; Multiple Heads, Dual Filament Extrusion, and Roll to roll industrial inkjet printers with inline drying and RF test capabilities. SI2 is also in the process of installing a large format 5-axis multi-head printer with 100 ft3 working space to address FHE on existing radomes and other structures.

The company recently expanded both the size of its facility and its in-house testing capabilities. It also plans to make its specialized test equipment available to other small businesses to improve MA small business competitiveness and encourage industry collaboration – all with a common goal to get winning solutions to the warfighters as quickly as possible.
